A chemical peel is a procedure best suited for patients with fine wrinkles, sun damaged, and discolored skin.  This cosmetic procedure improves skin tone and texture.  It may be helpful for some patients with mild acne scars however, these patients usually require much more involved surgical procedures.  Although patients notice improvements after one peel, it is often recommended doing a series of peels spaced a minimum of 4 weeks apart.
