BOTOX® injections weaken the fine muscles around the eyes and forehead that cause frown lines and deep wrinkles around the eyes. By selectively weakening the proper muscles at key injection points, the provider can eliminate wrinkles. 

Botox® is administered with small injections made directly into the muscle. Effects of the Botox® injections begin to appear within a few days. The results generally last around three to six months, after which time, the Botox® injections must be repeated. 

While the treatment can be used alone, it is often used in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures such as soft tissue fillers (eg. Juvederm®, Radiesse®).  Botox® is often combined with surgical procedures such as face-lifts, blepharoplasty or laser resurfacing.
